Selected works from 1980-2018
These works exhibit multilayered abstract forms that incorporate organic and geometric elements. Khanna had been exploring the field of size and scale since the 1980s, exploring methods and materials that incorporate sand and stencils, layering, texture, and reliefs.
The forms he created are a fascinating combination of high-pitched colour and subtlety, creating vibrant, multilayered, textured surfaces that seem to move and deepen within the pictorial space.
His lyrical paintings exude an energy that evokes both microscopical and macroscopical views of the natural world.
